How long should my submission be?
It depends on what type of writing. However, poetry should be no more than 50 lines, while any type of prose should be up to 5000 words. For more information on submission guilelines, check ‘Submit for Us!’.
does my submission have to be directly linked to the issue’s theme?
Muse likes to choose themes that give our writers a lot of freedom. However, your piece’s central idea should be linked to the theme. If unsure, take a look at previous submissions to get a better idea!
Do we have to submit pieces of writing that fit into set categories (e.g poetry, personal essays)?
Muse encourages every writer’s artistry and unique style. It’s alright if your piece does not specifically fit into one category, however, you should indicate which category you think it fits most in. This will help us organize.
