My name is Brooks Huang. I just joined CIS HZ10 Program in August this year. I love reading books, swimming, skiing, and watching movies. In the midst of the COVID pandemic, I’ve discovered a lot of things that have aroused my interest, which previously I hadn’t known. I realized that writing is very fun, not only that I can create stories upon my imaginations, but also express my opinions and try persuade others. In this specific topic, ‘bittersweet’, is an example of which I just mentioned. I would really like for the audience to understand the magnificence how bitterness connects with the sweetness physically and mentally.  In Chinese language and culture, 苦尽甘来 literally means that sweetness is born from bitterness, which symbolizes that success is achieved after strenuous work.  In English language, it is No Pain, No Gain.  The joy of Gain is a result of Pain.
